This presentation will aim to inform optometrists of the ways they can contribute to the investigation and diagnosis of patients with suspected learning disabilities within paediatric practice. This will include additional testing batteries, such as visual information processing. It will also address strategies for optimal appointments for children with disabilities and adaptations to the clinical examination to aid both child and optometrist. Medicare billing and interdisciplinary collaboration will also be addressed.
