Lisa Bakker
Professional Bio
I graduated from Optometry in 1989 from QUT and worked for Graham Dickens Optometrist, Laubman and Pank, Greg Rowe Optometrist and Eyes on Bribie in the following 14 years.
In 2003 I opened Eyes At Narangba as a greenfield site. I worked a day a week with Dr Graham Lee from 2006-2007 while my Practise was getting established. I am still at Eyes At Narangba, now 21 years on. I test all ages, which includes a lot of children and special needs populations, and an ever increasing number of TBI patients.
I was a Director of ProVision from 2007-2018, Director on OQNT 2014-2015, and on the National Committee of OGS 2011-2015, along with doing multiple trips to train Eye Care Nurses in both Timor Leste and Vanuatu.
I completed my Certificate of Ocular Therapeutics in 2009, and my ACBO Fellowship in 2018, along with ANOC (Advanced Accreditation in Neuro Optometric Care) in 2023 and I am a member of NORA.
I have an amazing husband, Ross, whom I have been married to for 33 years, and two children. Tim lives in Tokyo with his wife, Kaori, and Jessica who lives in New York.
