Elspeth completed her Bachelor of Vision Science in 2011 with a Masters in Optometry in 2013 from Queensland University of Technology. Elspeth is therapeutically qualified and has a strong interest in paediatric eye care, myopia control and specialty contact lenses. Elspeth is an aligned optometrist with the Queensland Children’s Hospital. In 2018 she received a Professional Certificate in Paediatric Eye Care from The College of Optometrists, Ulster. In 2022 Elspeth became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.  Elspeth currently works at a private practice in Bulimba, Queensland. During recent years Elspeth has been back to Queensland University of Technology as a guest lecturer and clinical supervisor.
